Crude is a free brutalist display font created by Jun Han Sim
While I was creating my second font – Block, the idea of Crude emerged. It’s basically answering the question of what if I removed all the curves and construct the font simply with thick horizontal and vertical slabs, closely stacked together? The end result is a font that feels like a tetris block, and resembles the brutalist-like architecture designs. While creating this font, I also took inspiration from artworks by @daan_rietbergen on Instagram, on forming the base of the character designs.
Crude font comes with basic latin characters including uppercase, lowercase, numbers and selected punctuations.
